Atmosfere sospese
Colori poveri e caldi, corridoi e prospettive in controluce, muri scrostati, muffe ingiallite e ambienti consumati dal tempo. L’opera pittorica di Matteo Massagrande, raffinato e nostalgico artista, sarà presente alla Galleria Gagliardi con piu’ di venti tavole dipinte recentemente, a testimonianza del suo ancora vivo amore per i luoghi
abbandonati e vissuti. La mostra inaugura la stagione estiva presso la Sala Legno della Galleria Gagliardi che ribadisce con questa personale il proprio interesse per la pittura contemporanea di tradizione vicina al realismo di fine Ottocento. Uno sguardo nobile sulle povere cose rende gli squarci di Massagrande intensamente nostalgici e lo conclama ad essere il protagonista indiscusso del sentimento d’antico. “Finestra”, “Le stanze di Veronica”, “Interno”, “Casa Magica”, sono alcuni dei titoli dei quadri dipinti per questa occasione che conservano immutato lo stile poetico di questo grande artista del nostro tempo.
MATTEO MASSAGRANDE: Profondo conoscitore della storia dell’arte antica e contemporanea, veneto di nascita (Padova 1959) Matteo Massagrande e’pittore ed incisore. Si interessa allo studio di antiche tecniche di pittura e dell’arte del restauro. Ha all’attivo cento personali in Italia e all’estero. Le sue opere si trovano in numerosi musei, chiese e collezioni pubbliche e private. E’ sempre stato fedele, rifiutando tutti gli -ismi e le mode del tempo a sua personale visione pittorica nobile. Il suo linguaggio e’ una sintesi colta tra la grande storia e le piu’ moderne ricerche figurative.

Poor and warm colours, backlight prospective of halls and corridors, scraped walls, yellow moulds and domestic rooms lived through the time. The poetic paintings by Massagrande, refined and nostalgic artist, will be set up at Galleria Gagliardi, with more then twenty pictures. The solo exposition by Massagrande could be consider as the summer opening of the Gallery and thanks to this artist we want to strongly underline the real interest in contemporary and hyper realistic painting of the Italian tradition near to the realism of the end of the Nineteenth Century. A noble glance to poor things returns Massagrande’s patches as intensely nostalgic and it calls him to be the undisputed protagonist of the ancient feeling. “Window”, “Veronica’s rooms”, “Intern”, Magic house”, are some of the works’ titles painted for this occasion which maintain unchanged the poetic style of this great artist of our times.
MATTEO MASSAGRANDE: A native of Veneto (Padua 1959) Matteo Massagrande is a painter and engraver with a profound knowledge of the history of art both old and contemporary. He has participated in prestigious exhibitions in Italy and abroad. He has always been faithful to his own noble vision of painting , rejecting all -isms and passing trends. His language is a cultured synthesis of what is best in history and modern figurative research.
